We know that it is a risky one. We have to book air tickets to Jomsom from Pokhara and back, hotel accommodation at Jomsom, jeep journey from Jomsom to Temple and back, we contacted Well Nepal Travel&Trek, Kathmandu. Mr Ramesh Ghimire, the M D of the travels readily undertook the customised tour programme and made all arrangements including pick up from hotel.
We reached the airport at Pokhara early in the morning to fly to Jomsom in the Simrik airways. Initially the weather was unfavourable. Permission was received at about 0710 hr to fly. The duration of flight journey is about 20 minutes. We travelled for about12 to 13 minutes in the air towards Jomsom. Then weather again turned bad and the pilot brought the plane back to Pokhara. We waited up to 1000 AM. Weather didn’t relent. Finally the flight was cancelled. We were, naturally, very much disappointed. Mr Ramesh told us that he would make arrangements for the next day. But as we did not have time, we expressed our inability. Mr Ramesh was truly professional. He promptly returned the advance amount we have paid to him deducting some irrecoverable expenses like taxes to the government etc. I have my full appreciation for him for organising our tour even at the last minute intimation and for refunding the money very promptly. Well Nepal Travel proved to be efficient and trustworthy. We may be unlucky. Better to have 3 or 4 days at our disposal to offset such flight cancellations. Not only this, I understand that frequent bandhs or strikes are prevalent these days in Nepal. So we should have some extra days with us. Nepal is a very beautiful country. People are friendly and curteous. BountIful nature. Love to visit Nepal once again.

Ramesh of Well Nepal Treks did an outstanding job of planning and executing our tour of Katmandu. The ladies really liked the Marigold leis upon arrival. I took the helicopter to Everest Base Camp while the rest of the party did the sight seeing flight. The guide arranged by Ramesh spoke excellent English and had a detailed knowledge of the history and culture of Katmandu and Nepal. Not only did we see the historical sites and interact with the local population but the day was arranged to flow smoothly so as not to wear us out. The hotel he booked and the transportation were first class. We couldn’t have asked for a better time. Thanks Ramesh!

Awesome helicopter tour of Kathmandu and Everest
Ramesh is an excellent tour organizer. We only had two days to see as much of Kathmandu as possible. I called several tour operators. Ramesh was the only one on time. He made good suggestions for our tours and quoted good prices.

First he organized afternoon visits to Bhaktapur and Patan. The driver was on time, friendly and professional. The car was clean and newish. Fun and interesting tours of ancient cities.

Later that evening we negotiated a helicopter tour for two of us of Everest base camp and Chitwan national park for the following morning. We had to haggle but finally got the price we wanted.

The helicopter tour was amazing. The pilot was top notch. The helicopter was in good shape. The flight took us to Lukla then to a spot near EBC, approx. 17,000′. We could not land at EBC due to safety restrictions imposed during this time of year. We made a couple stops along the way and had fantastic views.

We then went back to Kathmandu and on to Chitwan national park where we rode an elephant and saw rhinos, wild elephants, all kinds of deer and birds. It’s a must-see destination. Lunch at Barahi resort, where we landed, was excellent. Super friendly staff.

There are 1000’s of tour operators in Kathmandu. Ramesh runs a small business but was extremely attentive and accommodating. He met us at all critical junctions and made sure that we were taken care of by the drivers and pilot.

I would recommend him. I would also advise planning ahead and shopping around.
